In 2022, the people of District 6 elected me to serve on the Laredo City Council.

Since taking office, I’ve focused on delivering practical, results-oriented leadership centered on improving infrastructure, public safety, parks, and quality of life for our community.

Some of the accomplishments I’m most proud of include:

•Allocated more than $1 million in District 6 priority funds toward street paving projects.

•Resurfaced more than 300 blocks of City streets in District 6.

•Championed Laredo's first asphalt preservation program, extending the life of approximately 500 blocks of city streets and protecting taxpayer investments.

•Completed Springfield Extension Phases 3 and 4 which connected Shiloh to Loop-20 and secured funding for the remaining phases that will connect Del Mar Boulevard to Shiloh then Loop 20.

•Coordinated with TxDOT to install a concrete barrier along Loop 20 near Pla-Mor to help prevent serious accidents and fatalities.

Traffic & Mobility

•Advanced traffic safety and congestion relief projects, including speed tables on Winfield Parkway and dual left-turn lane improvements at McPherson & Shiloh and McPherson & San Isidro.

•Improved traffic signal operations at key intersections, including McPherson Road & San Isidro Parkway and Del Mar Boulevard & Country Club Drive.

•Supported ongoing improvements to the McPherson & Shiloh intersection to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow.

Parks, Trails & Recreation

•Secured funding for and completed the Salamander Play Zone at North Central Park, Laredo's first fully accessible playground.

•Brought the first pickleball courts to District 6, adding six courts to Divine Mercy Park.

•Supported enhancements to the Shiloh Hike & Bike Trail system, with a $770,000 investment set to break ground in October 2026.

•Expanded parking at Divine Mercy Park and North Central Park.

•Added Mommy & Me swings and outdoor fitness stations at neighborhood parks.

Water & Utilities

•Invested millions of dollars into water infrastructure through expanded water line replacement projects.

•Advanced negotiations for multiple long-term water sources to strengthen Laredo's water security and future growth, with two secondary water sources becoming closer and closer to a reality.

Community Leadership

•Sponsored and supported nonprofit organizations, cultural events, and community activities, including Día de los Muertos celebrations and local 5K events.

•Served on the Laredo Economic Development Corporation Board (LEDC) to strengthen economic growth and long-term competitiveness.

•Advocated for Laredo's interests in Austin and Washington, D.C., pursuing investments in infrastructure, public safety, and economic development.

•Worked alongside neighborhood HOA boards and residents to improve communication andresponsiveness between the community and city government.
